What's New for 2027 Cadillac Models: Native NACS Charging, Refined Details and a Gas Comeback
Cadillac's 2027 lineup is about refinement and a changing mix. Every GM electric vehicle gets a native NACS charge port, the Escalade family gets simpler and the Vistiq picks up new features. Meanwhile, the sedans and gas SUVs are between generations. Here is what's changing, and how to see it in Prescott.
Everything below comes from GM and Cadillac announcements and trade reports as of October 29, 2026. Not every 2027 model arrives at the same time. We don't list prices here. Our inventory pages and specials show current pricing, and our team can help with financing, leasing and trade-ins.
What changes with charging?
GM is moving its electric vehicles to the North American Charging Standard (NACS), the plug used by Tesla Superchargers. For 2027, GM has announced native NACS ports across its EV lineup, including the Cadillac Escalade IQ and IQL, Lyriq, Optiq and Vistiq. The Optiq has had one since 2026. A native port means you can plug in at compatible NACS stations without an adapter.
- Older chargers still work. GM continues to support CCS charging with adapters, so existing home chargers and many public stations remain usable.
- Home charging. See our GM Energy page for home charging options.
- One tech note. Trade reports say the 2027 Lyriq will be GM's last EV in North America with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Charging speeds and range vary with temperature, driving and the charger. Ask us about what fits the way you drive, with no pressure either way.
What's new for the Escalade family?
The Escalade isn't redesigned for 2027. The changes are to trims, colors and equipment, and EPA ratings are unchanged.
- Simpler lineup. The base model and the two-wheel-drive Platinum Luxury and Platinum Sport are dropped, so four-wheel drive is standard on the Platinum trims.
- New color and details. Sandstone joins the palette (not on Platinum), the Onyx Lite Package arrives on the Sport, and Cadillac Digital Key is expected after a software update. Magnus Metal Frost, Aegean Stone and the Performance Air Intake leave.
- Escalade IQ. Trade reports say a new Signature Sport trim sits at the top of the electric Escalade lineup. Pricing and production timing have not been announced.

What's new for the Lyriq, Optiq and Vistiq?
- Lyriq and Lyriq-V: a native NACS charge port replaces the CCS port, and alloy-accented pedals are standard. A new Blue Graphite Tricoat color is reported, and leather seating becomes optional on the Signature trims. The battery and drivetrain carry over.
- Optiq and Optiq-V: new Sandstone, Citron Tricoat and (Optiq-V only) Midnight Stone Frost colors. The Optiq already has a native NACS port.
- Vistiq: new Cashmere and Blue Graphite Tricoat colors and a matte Adobe Frost on the Platinum, plus Digital Key and a trailering package. The soft-close doors are dropped. Dealer summaries say Super Cruise is standard on the Vistiq with a three-year OnStar One plan, and that dual-motor all-wheel drive is standard.
Super Cruise requires an active plan or trial, works only on compatible roads and does not replace attentive driving. Features vary by trim.
What about the sedans and gas SUVs?
This is where the lineup is between generations, and it's worth knowing before you shop.
- CT4: production ended in June 2026.
- CT5: Cadillac said the current CT5 would end in late 2026, with a next-generation gas CT5 to follow.
- XT6: ended after the 2025 model year. GM has confirmed a new XT6 is coming.
- XT5: the current generation continues through 2026.
- What's next: GM CEO Mary Barra has said Cadillac will begin launching next-generation gas models in spring 2027, with the rollout continuing through 2028. The redesigned CT5, XT5 and XT6 are part of it.
Some 2026 CT5 and XT5 models may still be on our lot. Ask us what's available, and we'll tell you what we know about the new generation as it's announced.
